GreeneSpeaks!
GreeneSpeaks! is a workforce development initiative designed to help Greene County residents learn English and become more effective members of the local workforce.
Supported by the State of Tennessee and TVA through grant funding, the program launched at one of Greene County’s largest manufacturers in partnership with Northeast State Community College. Currently, GreeneSpeaks! offers both morning and evening on-site classes, as well as community sessions held on Thursdays.

Teacher Supply Depot
The GCP Education & Workforce Development arm runs a back-to-school Teacher Supply Depot in August and in January. This is a free supply depot for our city and county teachers to come stock their classrooms with materials.
If you or your company would like to help with the Teacher Supply Depot, here are the items we currently need:
3 Ring Binders – all sizes
3 hole punch
AA and AAA batteries
Band-aids
Binder clips and paper clips
Clipboards
Command hooks, strips, refills
Crayola markers, crayons, colored pencils
Disinfectant wipes, Lysol spray
Electric pencil sharpeners
Feminine hygiene
Folders
Glue sticks
Highlighters
Mechanical pencils
Paper Towels
Pens – red, black, blue, gel or ballpoint

Scissors – adult and child
