Demands on the local workforce are increasing due to a national decline in traditional manufacturing, plant closures and competition from a global economy. Greene County understands the importance of having a prepared workforce and is working in close cooperation with the Greene County and Greeneville City School Systems, the Greeneville-Greene County Center for Technology and the local community college Walters State to address both current and future needs for skilled/semi-skilled well-trained employees.
