Demands on the local workforce are increasing due to a national decline in traditional manufacturing, plant closures and competetion from a global economy. Greene County understands the importance of having a prepared workforce and is working in close cooperation with the Greene County and Greeneville City School Systems and the local community college Walters State to address both current and future needs for skilled/semi-skilled well-trained employees.
