Greene County Convenience Centers
Items Accepted
These centers accept plastic, cardboard, newspaper, aluminum cans, used oil, four used tires per year, batteries, metal, demolition and used computers and monitors, as well as household trash. No televisions will be accepted.
Hours
The Greene County Convenience Centers are open Monday through Friday during the times listed below. All centers are closed on Sunday.

The Greeneville/Greene County Landfill/Transfer Station & Public Works Department
The Greeneville/Greene County Landfill/Transfer Station (1555 Old Stage Road) accepts paint from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. They will accept oil-based paint only. Latex paint can be donated if it is full or can be thrown in the trash if it is dried.
The Public Works Department (708 W. Summer Street) accepts paint from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday for city residents only.
Both the Greeneville/Greene County Landfill/Transfer Station and the Public Works Department accept oil, antifreeze, car and truck batteries throughout the year.
