Greene County Veterinary Medical Center - Dr. Doug Woolsey |
Students are selected to participate by an application-and-selection process. Students in grades 9th - 12th are eligible. Schools participating this year include Chuckey-Doak High School, Greeneville High School, North Greene High School, South Greene High School, West Greene High School, and the Greeneville-Greene County Center for Technology. Over 100 businesses, both locally and regionally, offered the opportunity to host students for job shadowing experiences.
Hal Henard Elementary School - Ms. Kelly Kilday
|
Takoma Regional Hospital - Nursing |
By participating in the job shadowing program, students are provided the opportunity to get a "snap shot" of professions that will give them a realistic idea of what people in those jobs do on a daily basis. Students also see the connection between what they are learning in the classroom and how those skills are important in the workplace.
