“FROM THE PAST TO THE PRESENT”
AFRICAN-AMERICANS IN THE HISTORY OF THE AUTOMOBILE

City Garage Car Museum will open a new exhibit on the contributions of African-Americans to the transportation history in American. This exhibit will begin on Wednesday, February 15 and be displayed through the end of February.

African-American or Black History Month in America is an annual observance in February. February was chosen because of the birthday of Abraham Lincoln on February 12 and Frederick Douglas on February 14.

“From the Past to the Present” will focus on the featured areas of the car museum with related videos and information boards in those areas.

Inventions in transportation by African-Americans who pursued their ideas

City Garage Car Museum is located at 210 South Main Street in downtown Greeneville, Tennessee. The museum is open Wednesday-Saturday from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Admission is $5.00 per person with children 10 and under free
