Greene County is centrally located in the eastern portion of the United States and is accessible by Interstate 81, within 50 miles of I-40, I-75 and I-26, and is served by U.S. Highways 11E, 321,TN 34, 70, 93 and 107. During the past decade, new growth and development in Greene County has been exceptional, surpassing all expectations.


Greene County's diverse industrial base consist of more than 90 industries and a variety of products are manufactured here -- from skyscraper trusses and rollover cabs for heavy construction equipment to gift wrapping paper and bottled water products. Since the formation of the Greene County Partnership in 1993, more than 16 manufacturing/distribution companies have located or expanded existing facilities in Greene County.

New industry locations and expansions have resulted in more than 10,000 new jobs, and more than $315 million in new capital investment, providing a major economic boost to the local economy.

The effect of this rapid growth is reflected in all aspects of the community -- from industrial facilities to educational institutions.
