The John Hunt Morgan Camp Sons of Confederate Veterans in cooperation with the Dickson Williams Historical Association and the General Morgan Inn will present the Life and Legacy of John Hunt Morgan. The event will begin at 10AM on Saturday, Sept. 4 with a reenactment of the Death of General Morgan. A short remembrance will follow. Morgan was killed on the mansion grounds Sept. 4, 1864. Activities will conclude at 2PM.

The Jones Memorial AME Zion Church is sponsoring basketball games at the EastView Recreation Center from 3-7 p.m. Admission is $2 for adults, $1 for children. Food will be sold. All proceeds go to the church.

The Midway Volunteer Fire Department will have a lawn mower pull at the Old Midway Ball Field. There will be concessions, a live band(Country Gentlemen) performing. All proceeds go to the fire department.
