9/1/2010 A new session of swim lessons will be starting at the YMCA. Classes will be from Sept. 1-29, meeting on Mondays & Wednesdays. Classes will also be from Sept. 7-30 meeting on Tuesdays & Thursdays. Call 639-6107 for more information.
9/3/2010 Friendship Baptist Church will sell chicken & fish sandwiches, assorted desserts & drinks at the church.
9/3/2010 The Ottway Ruritan Club's monthly fish, chicken & shrimp all-you-can-eat fish fry will be held from 4-8 p.m. at the Ottway Ruritan Building. The cost is $10 per person.

9/4/2010 The first annual 5K Fun Run will be held in Bulls Gap as part of the annual Archie Campbell Celebration. The run will begin at the Bulls Gap City Hall. Registration starts at 7 a.m. and the race begins at 8 a.m. Call Pete Shipley at 754-5407 for more information.
9/4/2010 The John Hunt Morgan Camp Sons of Confederate Veterans in cooperation with the Dickson Williams Historical Association and the General Morgan Inn will present the Life and Legacy of John Hunt Morgan. The event will begin at 10AM on Saturday, Sept. 4 with a reenactment of the Death of General Morgan. A short remembrance will follow. Morgan was killed on the mansion grounds Sept. 4, 1864. Activities will conclude at 2PM.
9/4/2010 The Jones Memorial AME Zion Church is sponsoring basketball games at the EastView Recreation Center from 3-7 p.m. Admission is $2 for adults, $1 for children. Food will be sold. All proceeds go to the church.
9/4/2010 A car & truck show is set a Bulls Gap as part of the annual Archie Campbell Days. Registration is 5-7 p.m. at the football field at the Bulls Gap school. Registration fee is $10. Call Pete Shipley at 754-5407 or Jamie Gulley at 235-5864 for more information.
9/4/2010 The Midway Volunteer Fire Department will have a lawn mower pull at the Old Midway Ball Field. There will be concessions, a live band(Country Gentlemen) performing. All proceeds go to the fire department.
