March 2010 Great American Cleanup- March-May
3/11/2010 The Greene County Adult Baseball League is currently taking registrations & player signups for the new season. For more information, call 431-8447. The league is open to anyone 18 or older wanting to play or 16 & up with parental consent.
3/15/2010 Asbury United Methodist Church Blessed Dressed Ministry announces "The Prom Closet" at the Greeneville Federal Bank's downtown drive-thru bldg. The dates are Monday, March 15-19, 3:30-7 p.m. and Sat., 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Each dress is available for sale to local eighth grade & high school girls for a fee of $10. 3/18/2010 Nolichucky View Golf Club will be starting its Thursday evening 9-hole Scramble with a 5:30 p.m. draw. The entry fee will be $15. Players wanting to play should arrive or call by 5:15 p.m.

3/19/2010 The Limestone Ruritan Club will have a fish fry from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the Limestone Ruritan Building. In addition to fish, chicken and shrimp are also served. Cost is $9 per person. Carryouts will be available. Everyone is welcome.
3/19/2010 Yesterday's Country Band, featuring Johnny Kiser, will perform at the St. James Community Center auditorium from 7-9:30 p.m. Admission is $6 for adults, $3 for children 6-12, & free for children under age 6. Concessions will be available.
3/20/2010 The Bowman Ruritan Club's Invitational Golf Tournament is set at Twin Creeks Golf Course. Entry fee is $180 per four-man team. Cash prizes will be awarded, plus a hole-in-one at No. 17 will pay $5000. Call 257-5192 or Harvey Crain at 257-6003 or 612-3039 for more information.
3/20/2010 The 3rd annual Laughlin Memorial Hospital Bunny Hop 5K Race & Community Easter Egg Hunt will be held at the YMCA. 3/20/2010 The 15th annual 'Parenting Fair' from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Hal Henard Elementary School gymnasium. It is sponsored by Laughlin Memorial Hospital and its affiliates. The event is coordinated through the Greeneville City Schools & Greene County Schools by Janie Laws & Suzanne Price.
3/20/2010 The McDonald Boosters will conduct signups for t-ball & softyball from 10 a.m.-noon at the school. These youth leagues are open to all kids ages 4-12.

3/25/2010 "So You Want to Start a Business" will be offered at the Greene County Partnership office, 115 Academy St., 1-4 p.m. The free class covers the ways Tennessee Small Business Development Center can assist entrepreneurs & addresses preparation for the loan process, licensing requirements & how to assess the market. 3/27/2010 The 8-under Greeneville Marlins will sponsor a fund-raising golf tournament at Nolichucky View Golf Course. This will be a four-man scramble with entry fee of $50 per player. Call the golf course at 638-7888 or Danny Ball at 620-9164 for more information or to enter.
