What is the Greene County Partnership?
The Greene County Partnership was formed in 1993 when the former Boards of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development, Tourism and Keep Greene Beautiful decided to consolidate into one entity. This consolidation resulted in the formation of one broadly-based Board of Directors to develop and oversee financing, staffing, housing, planning, policy and program. In 1995, a new entity, Partners in Education, was created and is now a part of the organizational structure.

What are businesses saying about the Partnership?
“Many of America’s small cities, towns and rural areas are competing very successfully in the hunt for new manufacturing and distribution centers. Greeneville ranks eighth in America’s Top 50 Small Towns for Corporate Facilities.” —Site Selection Magazine, January, 2001
“The positive impact of the Greene County Partnership has clearly been a major influence, especially in the area of industrial growth – which in turn exerts an indirect but major influence on local spending for retail items, services, homes and so forth. As some company leaders have themselves commented publicly during the year, the progress that has been made in local industrial employment is in significant part a tribute to the interest and assistance offered by the GCP…” —The Greeneville Sun, January 1999
“Since 1995, Greene County ranks only behind Shelby and Williamson Counties in the announcement of new manufacturing employment.” —Governor Don Sundquist
“Greeneville/Greene County is truly one of the best small markets in the American South for Industrial recruitment” —Michael C. Randle, Publisher of Southern Business & Development
